Privacy Policy
The short version: I collect what I need to answer your question, confirm your vehicle and turn up at the right place at the right time. I don't sell your information, and I don't hand it to anyone who isn't needed to run this business.
Effective date: October 3, 2026
What I collect
You're only ever asked for what the job actually needs:
- Your name
- Your phone number — required on every form — confirming compatibility by call or text is how this works
- Your email address — optional everywhere; I only use it if you'd rather hear back that way
- Vehicle details — year, make, model, trim, engine, and any VIN, build or equipment details you send so I can check what's supported
- Service address — optional, and only so I know where to bring the equipment
- Photos — optional, and only if you attach them to a quote request
- Appointment and request details — the service you asked about, the time you picked, and any notes you add
How I get it
- The forms on this site: Check My Vehicle, Get a Quote, and Book Online.
- When you call or text me at (423) 401-0218.
- When we talk in person at your appointment or when I'm working on your vehicle.
That's it. I don't buy contact lists, and I don't collect anything about you quietly in the background. This site uses a cookieless page counter (Vercel Web Analytics) so I can see which pages people actually read — it reports totals, not people, and I never see who you are from it.
Why I use it
- To answer your request, and to tell you whether the work you asked about is supported on your vehicle.
- To verify the vehicle and the requested service before anything is booked — compatibility varies by year, make and model.
- To schedule, confirm, move or cancel appointments.
- To do the work and write up what I find.
- To call or text you about your appointment. That is what the number is for.
- To keep ordinary business records — quotes, invoices, and what tax and other law asks of a small business.
Your number and email are for the job, not for marketing. If I ever text or call you it's about your vehicle or your appointment, and reply STOP to any text and the messages stop.
Where it's stored, and who sees it
Your details are stored in this business's own database, hosted by the providers that serve this site. I don't sell them, rent them or trade them, and no advertiser gets a look at them. The only outside services that touch them are the ones needed to run the business:
- Website and database hosting — the providers that serve this site and store your details
- Email delivery — the service that sends your quote, appointment confirmation and my own notifications
- Card payments — card and payment-link payments run through Square, so Square's own privacy terms apply to that transaction. I never see or store your card number.
- If the law requires it — a valid subpoena, court order, or another legal obligation on the business
How long I keep it
As long as I need it to look after you and to meet ordinary record-keeping and legal obligations. I'm not keeping a file on you for no reason — if you ask me to delete your information, I'll delete it, unless the law requires me to keep a particular record (a paid invoice for tax purposes, for example).
Your information, your call
You can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Ask me directly and I'll take care of it and confirm when it's done:
Children
This is a service for vehicle owners, and this site isn't aimed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information. If a child's details were sent to me by mistake, tell me and I'll remove them.
Changes to this policy
If how I handle your information changes, I'll update this page and the effective date at the top. The version posted here is the one that applies.
Questions about any of this? Call or text (423) 401-0218 or email info@423code.com. The terms that cover booking a service are in the Terms of Service.
