Serving Chattanooga and surrounding areas
Your truck is sitting nose-high. Or low on one corner. Or the dash is showing an air suspension message it never showed before.
Sometimes it started right after a battery change. Sometimes after the suspension was worked on. Sometimes for no reason you can point to.
Factory air suspension on your truck is a computer running an air system. The computer can lose its reference points — and when it does, the ride height it's aiming for isn't the ride height the truck is actually at.
What factory air suspension is doing electronically
Ride-height sensors at the corners report to the suspension module. The module uses those readings to decide how much air each air spring needs — inflating to raise, venting to lower — so the truck holds the right height and stays level, loaded or unloaded.
Every one of those decisions depends on the module knowing where each corner actually is. That's the calibration.
What a calibration or relearn does
A calibration re-teaches the suspension module its reference points: ride height, level, and the values it uses to judge whether the truck is sitting correctly.
It's the step that's needed after the electronics lose their bearings — a battery disconnect, a component replacement, a height sensor that was removed, or any work that left the truck sitting at the wrong height. The air system may be perfectly healthy; the module just no longer knows what "correct" looks like on your truck.
I connect professional equipment to the OBD port, read the suspension module's fault memory first, and then run the relearn through the vehicle's own modules, verifying the result while I'm standing at the truck.
The honest split — and this is the important part
There are two kinds of air suspension problems, and only one of them is mine.
If a spring is leaking, a line is damaged, a valve block has failed, or the compressor is dead, that's a mechanical fault. Calibration cannot fix a physical leak — no setting, no relearn, nothing I can do through the OBD port will hold air in a system that's losing it.
I don't sell a calibration as a fix for a hardware failure. I read the system, tell you what it's reporting, and if the answer is "your compressor is tired" or "that corner is losing air", I'll tell you that instead of taking $59 for a procedure that can't work.
If a bag is leaking, no calibration on earth will fix it. I'd rather tell you that than charge you for a procedure I know can't work.
When calibration is the right call
- A ride-height or air suspension message appeared after a battery change or disconnect
- A height sensor, module or related component was replaced
- The suspension was serviced and now sits or rides differently than before
- The truck sits unevenly, and the system isn't showing a physical leak
- You want the electronics checked before agreeing to replace parts
That last one saves real money. A scan and a recalibration are a fraction of the cost of a parts replacement you may not have needed.
What the visit looks like
Air suspension calibration is offered on supported vehicles — RAM 2500 and 3500 with factory air suspension among them. I come to your home or your jobsite, plug in, read the suspension module, and run the relearn if the electronics call for it.
Typically 30–60 minutes, including the scan of the module before the calibration itself. $59, flat, on-site.
Compatibility is verified first
Air suspension calibration is available on supported vehicles only, and the exact procedure varies by year, make and model — some vehicles need a diagnostic scan of the suspension module first. I verify yours before you spend anything, and if the fault turns out to be mechanical rather than electronic I'll tell you that instead. This is an electronic calibration, not an air-suspension repair: I don't replace air springs, compressors or lines.
Where to go next
I verify compatibility and give you the price before we schedule — if I can't deliver, you don't pay.
Prices are starting prices, not guarantees. Final pricing can depend on the vehicle, location and work involved; a travel fee applies beyond 10 miles. Compatibility varies by year, make and model and is verified before any appointment. This is an electronic diagnostics, coding and reset service — not mechanical repair. No dealership or manufacturer affiliation.
