I come to you
Serving Chattanooga and surrounding areas
Your Nissan was built with settings nobody ever walked you through — a chime you can't stop, locks that behave differently from the car you had before, windows that don't do what you expect when you hold the fob.
None of that is broken. It's configuration: decided at the factory, stored in the vehicle's own modules, and on many models changeable without adding a single part.
I make those changes at your driveway, in Chattanooga and the towns around it, with Carista running through an OBDLink MX+ plugged into your OBD port.
What feature coding actually is
Changing how your vehicle behaves through the modules it already has. No hardware. No aftermarket part. No wires cut. A configuration written through the OBD-II port, then checked in front of you while the vehicle is parked.
On a Nissan that means the convenience and body settings — the kind of thing the body control module keeps — not anything under the hood. It's a settings change, made the way the vehicle's own systems expect it to be made.
What it covers on a Nissan
These five areas are the whole scope of the Nissan work:
- Lighting — how the vehicle's lights behave and how it hands control back to you, where the model exposes the setting.
- Locks — the locking behaviour, including how the doors answer the fob.
- Chimes — the alerts the vehicle makes, where your model allows them to be changed.
- Windows — window operation from the fob and the switches, on the models that expose it.
- Mirrors — mirror behaviour and convenience functions, where the vehicle carries them.
Depending on the model, some of those are available and some are not — that's the honest answer, and it's why the next step is always me checking your year and model rather than you buying anything.
What I don't do on a Nissan: engine tuning, performance work, or any function outside those five areas. If what you want isn't on that list, tell me anyway — I'll say whether it's something I can do or something you should take elsewhere.
How the visit works
Carista is the software I code Nissan with. The OBDLink MX+ is the adapter that lets it talk to your vehicle through the OBD-II port under the dash. Both are mine — you don't buy or install anything.
I read what your vehicle actually exposes, make the changes that are available on your year and model, and then I verify each one with you standing there. You press the fob. You watch the lights. You hear the chime. If a change doesn't take, you see that as plainly as I do, and it doesn't go on the bill.
$59.
What it is not
It isn't mechanical repair. I'm electronic diagnostics, coding and resets — not engine or transmission work, not brakes, not oil changes. If your Nissan has a mechanical problem, coding isn't the answer and I'll tell you so.
It isn't a fix for a warning light either. A light means a module stored a fault, and turning a setting off doesn't address that. If a warning light is what brought you here, the honest order is to scan it first.
And it isn't Security Gateway work. Security Gateway access is FCA / Stellantis business — 2018+ Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler. It has no part in the Nissan job.
I don't promise — I verify
Before any appointment I confirm whether your year, model and trim supports what you're asking for. Send me the year, the model and the setting you want changed, and you'll get a straight answer: yes, no, or not on yours.
Forum threads mix years, trims and markets. A settings menu on one 2019 model is not the settings menu on another, and the person writing the thread wasn't looking at your VIN. That's exactly why I verify instead of promising.
If it isn't supported, I tell you before you spend a dollar. If it is, I drive to you, I connect, I make the change, and you watch it happen.
If a warning light is the real problem
Sometimes the coding question is the small one and the light on the dash is the big one. That's a scan, not a setting: the Full-System Scan + Digital Report is $59, and the scanner's PDF report comes to you exactly as the machine wrote it.
If you want those codes put into plain English — what each one means, which ones actually matter, and what I'd do next — that's the Code Interpretation & Next Steps add-on, $40, on the same visit.
Compatibility is verified first
Coding depends on what your vehicle's modules expose, so support varies by year, model and trim — and sometimes by build date within a year. I verify yours before booking and tell you before you spend anything if it isn't available.
Where to go next
I verify compatibility and give you the price before we schedule — if I can't deliver, you don't pay.
Prices are starting prices, not guarantees. Final pricing can depend on the vehicle, location and work involved. No travel fee within 10 miles of Chattanooga. Beyond 10 miles, a travel fee applies at $2 per round-trip mile, quoted up front before booking. Areas over 30 miles away are outside our coverage. Compatibility varies by year, make and model and is verified before any appointment. This is an electronic diagnostics, coding and reset service — not mechanical repair. No dealership or manufacturer affiliation.
