Mobile service

I come to you

Serving Chattanooga and surrounding areas

You pull to a stop, the engine dies, the cabin shudders, and it restarts the moment you lift the brake.

It's not a feature — it's an interruption.

Most people don't know it can be disabled through the vehicle's own software.

What auto start-stop actually is

Auto start-stop is a fuel-saving function controlled by the BCM — the Body Control Module. The hardware completes it. The software decides whether it fires.

How it's disabled

FORScan is software built specifically for Ford. It connects to the OBD port, reads the BCM, and reveals configuration parameters the dealer never shows.

Among them is a start-stop toggle. Switching it disables the function.

No physical modification, no aftermarket part, no cutting wires. A configuration change through the module the truck already has.

Not available on every year

On 2015–2020 F-150s it lives in the BCM. On 2021 and newer it may be in the PSCM — the Power Steering Control Module — which changes the method.

I verify before I book. If yours doesn't support it, I tell you before you spend a dollar.

What the service looks like

I drive to you, plug professional equipment into your OBD port, access the BCM, find the parameter, disable it, and verify it while standing at your truck.

You turn the key — the engine stays running at a stop. Done.

$59.

Compatibility is verified first

Compatibility varies by year, make and model. On many 2015–2020 F-150s the start-stop setting is in the BCM; on some 2021 and newer trucks it may live in the Power Steering Control Module instead, which changes the method. I verify your vehicle before I book — and if it isn't supported, I tell you before you spend a dollar.

Where to go next

I verify compatibility and give you the price before we schedule — if I can't deliver, you don't pay.

Prices are starting prices, not guarantees. Final pricing can depend on the vehicle, location and work involved; a travel fee applies beyond 10 miles. Compatibility varies by year, make and model and is verified before any appointment. This is an electronic diagnostics, coding and reset service — not mechanical repair. No dealership or manufacturer affiliation.
