This is the deepest work I do, so the vehicle, the module involved and the support for it are verified first, and the price is confirmed with you before any work starts.
Proxy alignment is the FCA and Stellantis name for the procedure that introduces a new or replacement module to the rest of the vehicle's network. The modules are told the new one is there and the configuration is written so they talk to each other again. Module configuration is the same idea on other supported platforms.
It is what is needed when a module has been replaced, when a module was never configured after a repair, or when the network no longer recognises something that is physically fitted. I do it through the OBD port, at your location.

Compatibility
Proxy alignment and module configuration are offered on supported vehicles only, and the exact procedure differs by platform, year, make and model. Some jobs need the vehicle's own configuration data, and some need the replacement module to be correctly fitted first. I verify yours before quoting, and I tell you plainly if it cannot be done.

Will this fix any module problem?
No. It configures a module and introduces it to the network. If the module itself is faulty, if the wiring is damaged or if the fault is mechanical, configuration will not fix it, and I say so instead of charging for it.
Do you fit the module as well?
No. I do the electronic configuration. Fitting a module is a shop job, and I configure it once it is fitted and the vehicle is ready for the procedure.
Which vehicles does proxy alignment cover?
Proxy alignment is the FCA and Stellantis term, so it is mostly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM on supported years. Module configuration on other platforms is separate work, and support varies by year, make and model. Send your details and I will confirm.
