Adding or replacing keys on supported Ford vehicles — transponder (PATS) keys and smart keys programmed to your vehicle, and keys you've lost cleared from it so they can't start it. I come to you with professional equipment and verify your year, model and key type first. Compatibility varies by year, make and model; tell me what key you have and whether the blade needs cutting, and I'll confirm what's possible before you spend anything.
Adding or replacing a key on a supported Ford: I program a new or spare transponder (PATS) key or smart key to your vehicle, at your home or wherever it's parked, using professional equipment.
The same visit can clear keys you no longer have. If a key was lost or stolen it can be erased from the vehicle so it no longer starts or unlocks it — which is the part people usually want done the same day they notice a key is missing.
What this addresses
- You have a replacement key and need it programmed to the vehicle
- A key was lost or stolen and you want it erased from the vehicle
- You only have one working key and want a spare programmed
- A key no longer starts the vehicle
- You bought a used Ford and want to know what keys the vehicle still recognises
Compatibility
Key programming is offered on supported Ford vehicles, and what's possible depends on your year, model and key type — transponder (PATS) or smart key. Compatibility varies by year, make and model, and I verify your vehicle and key before you spend anything. Programming covers the vehicle's electronic side: if your key's blade still needs cutting, or you need a new key supplied, say so before booking so that's sorted first. This is not a locksmith or dealership key service.
How mobile service works
- 1Tell me your year, make, model, engine — and what your car is doing (or what feature you want changed).
- 2I verify your vehicle and confirm the service is supported before you spend anything — compatibility varies by year, make and model.
- 3I confirm the price with you before I head out. Prices are starting prices; a travel fee applies beyond 10 miles.
- 4I come to you — your home, your office, your driveway. No waiting room, no dealership lane.
- 5I work with professional equipment, explain what I find in plain English, and deliver — a diagnostic report, a reset, a feature unlocked.
Common questions
What should I tell you before booking?
Your year, model and trim, what key you're programming (transponder or smart key), where the key came from, and how many working keys you still have. With that I can verify the job and confirm the price.
Can you erase a key I've lost?
On supported vehicles, yes — clearing lost keys is part of this service, and it means that key can no longer start or unlock your vehicle.
Do you cut the key blade?
Programming the vehicle's electronics is what I do. If the blade isn't cut yet, tell me before booking so it's handled first and the key arrives ready to program.
Will this work on a push-button-start truck?
Often, on supported years and models — smart keys are programmable on many Fords, but not all of them. Send your year, model and trim and I'll verify before you pay anything.
Ready when you are
Send your year, make, model and what you need done. I verify compatibility before you book.
